Henry County Schools reached a major milestone last week when the final steel beam went up on the new Stockbridge STEM High School at 109 South Lee Street. The topping-out ceremony marks the structural completion of a $73 million, 172,000-square-foot campus that is on track to welcome its first students in August 2027.
The school sits just minutes from our office at 36 Highway 138 W in Stockbridge — the same community we have served for years.
Applications open September 29
If you have a ninth or tenth grader with an interest in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics, applications open September 29, 2026. Henry County Schools' STEM High School program page has eligibility details, the application timeline, and information about the curriculum.
Why this matters to our firm
Shawn Council Law Firm is a Henry County firm. Our clients are Henry County families — people we see at church, at the grocery store, at Friday night games. When the county invests $73 million in the next generation of Stockbridge students, that is exactly the kind of news we want to share.
Congratulations to Henry County Schools, the construction team, and every family in this community that has been waiting for this school. We will be watching that building go up, and we will be proud of it when it opens.
